Mukbangs Are Demonic
James Warren Jones (Jim Jones) was a cult leader of Peoples Temple who led more than 900 people to mass suicide in November 1978. This is known as a the Jonestown Massacre. Jones led men, women and children to drink cyanide laced punch. This spawned the metaphor, “Don’t drink the Kool-Aid.”
Jones started as a minister who later made a reputation for himself as a healer and evangelist. He formed his own church, Deliverance Church in 1955. The church later became the Peoples Temple. Jones moved his church from Utah to California. In 1974, Jones bought land in Guyana (located in South America). Peoples Temple soon moved to Guyana with 1,000 followers.
Jones became paranoid that the government was after him and started a suicide campaign. Cyanide and Valium were mixed into a batch of grape drink. Members were given the drink and those that refused to drink it were forced by armed guards. Jones died by a gun shot to the head. His body was found at the grounds.
Jim Jones and Mukbangs?
Bethany Gaskin, 44, is a popular Mukbanger (Bloveslife on YouTube) who says she made a million dollars in 15 months by binge eating on camera. Bethany has been featured on CBS news, BBC News, New York Times and Access Hollywood. Gaskin often features video clips of children singing her intro, “What’s up my beeloveleez,” in her videos.
Like Jones, one could argue that Gaskin is leading people into a slow death with the amount of food she is influencing people to eat in one sitting. On November 18, 2019, Gaskin started a 20 Chicken Legs challenge. She challenged people to attempt to eat 20 fried chicken legs. Gaskin started the challenge by dipping the fried chicken legs into a bowl of butter sauce. Hundreds of YouTubers took on the challenge, but what was the reward? Views on YouTube?
Below are just a few misguided YouTubers that followed her lead:
In September 2019, Gaskin released her Smackalicious dry seasoning on Amazon. The seasoning costs $25 for a small packet. The packet contained 5070 gm of sodium (according to the packet’s nutrition label). This does not include the sticks of butter, pickled ginger, cola and other ingredients needed to recreated her recipe. Gaskin said the sodium level listed was a “mistake.” However, couldn’t that mistake easily turn into a successful lawsuit for consumers? Typically, items are recalled in situation like that. The seasoning can only be found via a link she provides. If you search Amazon for it, it doesn’t appear. Why is that?
Occult Following
One could argue that Gaskin has an occult following on YouTube. YouTube content creators who voice their opinion about the destructive eating habits she promotes are threatened and harassed in the comment section of their videos.
YouTuber, Mr. SSG, says he received death threats from Gaskin followers after he made reaction videos to a few of her mukbangs.
In his video titled, “Bloveslife Fans Want Me Dead LMAO,” he says, “Blove fans are really toxic. They’ve sent me death threats…To go that hard for someone that just shoves seafood in her mouth is weird. “
Fake Christian
Gaskin told the New York Times in a 2019 interview that doing mukbangs was a “ministry.” However, in her recent interview with CBS News, she says people watching her eat is “weird,” but the “money is right,” so she’s “going to keep doing it.” That was a clear contradiction stated by Gaskin who claims to be a Christian.
Although gluttony does not only pertain to food, Christianity.com writes:
“A lot of gluttony is born of boredom. Life is not satisfying or stimulating, relationships feel empty and work is boring, but food is always there and tastes so good. “
This makes sense as experts have attributed the popularity of mukbangs to boredom and loneliness.
Esau in the Scriptures
Gaskin is not eating to live, but living to eat. Overeating is seen as idolatry in the scriptures and is dangerous. The scriptures state that Esau sold his birthright for a single meal.
“Once when Jacob was cooking a stew, Esau came in from the field and he was exhausted. And Esau said to Jacob, “Let me eat some of that stew, for I am exhausted. (Therefore his name was called Edom.) Jacob said, “Sell me you birthright now.” Esau said, I am about to die; of what use is a birthright to me?” Jacob said, “Swear to me now,” So he swore to him and sold his birthright to Jacob. Then Jacob gave Esau bread and lentil stew, and he ate and drank and rose and went his way. Thus Esau despised his birthright. (Genesis 25:29-34)
This story sounds similar to entertainers that have sold their sold for money. Gaskin is exploiting herself for money, which is the same thing as selling her soul.
Dr. Sebi vs Mukbangs
Dr. Sebi was one of many holistic doctors that died mysteriously in recent years. It seemed that mukbangs became popular in the US soon following his death in 2016. Dr. Sebi was made popular by Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes of the singing group, TLC. In 2002, Lisa moved to the Honduras to live in his village, which is where she died in a car accident that same year. Dr. Sebi had also worked with Michael Jackson and many other entertainers.
Holistic doctors preach that the money is in the disease and not the cure. This might explain who is behind Gaskin’s “success” on YouTube. She promotes an unhealthy lifestyle, however, she’s featured on large news platforms. Doesn’t that raise questions?
Huh?
Jasper Daze was a mukbanger that passed away. According to reports, he didn’t know he had diabetes and died in his sleep in 2016. Gaskin has said in her interviews that Jasper inspired her to get started with mukbangs. Huh?
Gaskin is Promoted Because Her Family Fits the Bill to Push Several Agendas?
Gaskin is a married African American woman with two sons. You might be asking, what does this have to do with anything? Well, several agendas are being pushed via mass media:
1, Destroy the family unit:
Instead of Gaskin’s husband talking his wife out of becoming a mukbanger, he quit his job and became her manager. He can be heard coaching his wife to eat more in some of the videos. This is not a good example of the ideal husband. Like her, he sees dollar signs and not the long term affects of her job. His wife is providing for the family instead of the other way around. 2, Promote binge eating:
This is self explanatory.
3, The gay agenda:
The gay lifestyle if being forced onto the masses via mass media. To read more about the agenda click here. Gaskin’s youngest son is gay.
4, Interracial dating:
To each its own, but many believe interracial dating is a hidden agenda being promoted by the media. To read more about it click here. Gaskin’s oldest son has a white live in girlfriend.
Hand Gestures
Check out her hand gesture in the photo below. Is that a coincidence?
But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men (Matthew 16:23).
